BARBARA JONES – FOUNDER/CEO
Barbara Jones has produced and supported consumer-facing media products for over 30 years, both multi-lingual and multi-platform. Her executive roles include positions at The Travel Channel (helped to launch travelchannel.com), The Weather Channel/Weather.com (headed International Online including the launch of Spanish & Portuguese versions of weather.com), Western Broadcast Sales, Power Broadcasting, and Alliance Atlantis. She helmed her own company, SailorJones Media, for over 15 years. Barbara holds a BAA (Radio/Television Arts) from Ryerson University and an MSc (Radio/Television/Film) from Syracuse University where she is a professor of practice in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
BETH DONNELLY EGAN – MARKETING/COMMUNICATIONS/ADVERTISING
Beth Egan, a 25-year veteran of the advertising industry, advises on overall strategic communications and media planning for StayBillety. She has worked for top media agencies such as MECGlobal, MediaVest and UM, and has led strategic media planning for Coca Cola, AT&T Mobility, Kraft/Nabisco and L’Oreal Paris. Beth teaches Media Planning and Advertising Strategy as an Associate Professor at Syracuse University. Her research interests include Native Advertising, Cross Media Synergy Effects and the Economics of Media Buying in the World of Big Data. Beth holds a Bachelor of Science in Advertising from Syracuse University and an MBA from Southern Methodist University.
RICK BURTON - BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
At StayBillety, Rick Burton advises on strategic planning and business development. A global sports marketing expert with extensive sponsorship experience, his previous roles include CMO of the US Olympic Committee and Commissioner of the Australian National Basketball League. For over 20 years, Rick has operated Burton Marketing Group working almost exclusively in league management and sponsorship for entities such as IMG, the U.S. Basketball Academy, Philippine Basketball Association (PBA), Japanese Pro Soccer league (J-League), National Football League (NFL), National Hockey League (NHL), Australian NBL, Visa, Oakland Raiders and Sport Accord. More recent clients have included the Buffalo Bills (NFL), the Professional Bull Riders and TSE.
