In 1994 Jay Glassman organized the first ever Toronto Marathon, a fast, downhill and scenic course that starts in North York’s Lastman Square and finishes at Ontario Place.
The Toronto Marathon is now known as the GoodLife Fitness Toronto Marathon and holds on to the philosophy that the runner comes first.
On May 7th, runners will have the option to run the Marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5K run/walk, or relay events. Avid runners will use this race as a qualifier for the Boston Marathon on April 18th. The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation is the official charitable partner for the race.
