Carleton University
Carleton University is Canada’s Capital University, located between the older urban neighborhood of Old Ottawa South and Dow’s Lake in Ottawa, Ontario.
Students can frequently be found in Oliver’s, the student-owned and operated pub, reading the newest edition of the school’s 70-year-old newspaper, The Charlatan, or cheering on the Carleton Ravens.
Graduates who have worn the university’s black and red include Nobel Prize winners Gerhard Herzberg, Peter Grunberg and Former Prime Minister of Canada, Lester B. Pearson.
A cosmopolitan city, Ottawa is home to Parliament Hill, as well as the National Gallery of Canada. While in town, visitors can explore the booming culinary scene, shop ByWard Market, or kayak along the Ottawa River.
