Description

Two rooms available: Queen or Twin. Both have: Large bedroom with new windows and room darkening curtains. Desk, lots of light, closet and dresser. Access to the bathroom, kitchen, and living room. You also have access to a gazebo, hammock and BBQ in a beautiful backyard during summer :-) I am located 8km west of the Byward Market in a cute neighbourhood.

House Rules

I don't charge a cleaning fee and therefore ask people to clean up behind themselves as they go. General rule of thumb: ask yourself if what you are about to do is going to create work for someone else :-) Bathroom •Given there is only 1 bathroom, if you are going to be a while, perhaps ask others if they need to use the bathroom first •Remove all evidence of your bathroom activities – bring shampoo, soap, etc. back to your room; use the toilet brush if needed; •Absolutely mandatory: wipe down the sink and tub after each use – there is a small cloth close to each the tub and sink plus dish soap – even if you can't see dirt, please wipe down the tub or sink with soap and water – this way nobody has to clean anyone else's dirt or stand or sit in someone else's dirty feet marks :-) Kitchen •Please help yourself to find dishes; pots and pans are under the stove; baking sheets are above the fridge •Feel free to cook food and carve out some space in the fridge but do clean up after yourself: oWipe down stove and counters oWash dishes oLater on put dry dishes back where you found them (the dish drainer emptying fairy is on vacation at current time) •Recycling is under the kitchen sink •Composting: oBread, Fruit and veggie scraps can go in stainless steel container under kitchen sink oAnimal products should be wrapped in paper (obtained from back vestibule, bottom shelf on left) and placed outside in the tall green garbage bin (no plastic in there please) Office •You seriously don't want to go in there – you may get trapped by the paper monster :-) •I do not offer scanning, photocopying or printing services Shaggy •Just don't feed him…. No matter how starving he tells you he is, He is well fed :-) Bedroom •Feel free to open/close windows as desired o If heat/air conditioning is turned on, cover the vent in the floor so we are not heating/cooling outside •If you have food in your room, keep your door closed to keep Shaggy out please – he is a food thief! Laundry •You are welcome to use it on weekends from 9-9 or weekdays 7-9pm •You are welcome to use my soap and dryer sheets
